| opmerkingen | The July 1999 record concerns another individual than the one already accepted for Zeeland (cf van der Vliet et al 2000). Several reports in 2000 mentioned by van Dongen et al (2000bc) have not (yet) been submitted. According to Justin Jansen (in litt), the record count during high tides at Saeftinghe, Zeeland, in 2000 was 13 birds (on 19 August), but none was submitted. Clearly, the number of accepted records by CDNA does no longer reflect the true number present in the Netherlands and, therefore, this species is no longer considered from 1 January 2001 onward.
