| opmerkingen | 13 April, Pietersplas, Maastricht, Limburg, adult (J van der Coelen, M Maas; Beckers 2008). The bird flew past a single astonished observer, his non-birding girlfriend and their dog, walking their regular round south of Maastricht at Pietersplas at c 13:40. It was found earlier that day at c 11:00 as the first for Belgium near Stokkem, Limburg, c 23 km north of Pietersplas. In the evening, it was relocated in Belgium, at Herstal, Liège, c 22 km south of Pietersplas. All these sites are situated along the river Meuse (Maas). The first was on 1 May 2003 at Oosterscheldekering, Zeeland, and that bird was also seen abroad, at Dungeness, Kent, England, on 5-7 May 2003, as the first for Britain. Annual Report 2008. | |
