| opmerkingen | 6 May, Loozerheide, Weert, Limburg, and Cranendonck, Noord-Brabant, second calendar-year, photographed (C Kessels, R Weenink). Undoubtedly one of the most extraordinary records ever. The identification of this bird was troublesome and not clinched before consulting Dick Forsman. Four recent records of first or second calendar-year individuals as far north as France from 1999 onwards (Frémont et al 2006) and several as far south as southern Morocco and even Senegal (van den Berg 2007) show the vagrancy potential of this species.
