A search for the Short-toed Eagle(s) Circaetus gallicus at Hoge Veluwe, where this species resided during the previous two summers, led to the finding of a distant, reddish bird which turned out to be the country’s third Rufous-tailed Rock Thrush. The two previous records were also in spring, a male on 22-23 April 1951 and a female on 12-13 May 1994. Annual Report 1998. | |
