| opmerkingen | November 3, 1900, Hedikhuizen, Heusden, Noord-Brabant, adult female winter plumage, find (collection of Natural History and Bird Museum 'Institute St Louis', Oudenbosch, Noord-Brabant), Snouckaert van Schauburg (1908: 92). Initially identified as G pratincola, only as G nordmanni determined in 1987. Both Black-winged Pratincoles in the aforementioned collection were not labeled by date, but a description in Tijdschr Ned Dierkd Ver 2 (4): 27-28, 1893-1894 by G pratincola and the (winter) plumage by G nordmanni were sufficient to determine which observation which species was involved. | |
