opmerkingen	26 July, Oostvaardersplassen, Lelystad, Flevoland, adult, photographed (F de Roder, L Enting; Dutch Birding 29: 337, plate 486, 2007). This is the first mid-summer observation of an 'isabelline shrike'. It was present in an Oostvaardersplassen area not open to public (including birders). It was not possible, due to the limited number of photographs and the lack of visible details, to accept it to species level. There have now been 11 'isabelline shrikes', of which two have been accepted as Turkestan Shrike L phoenicuroides, six as Daurian Shrike L isabellinus and three as L phoenicuroides/isabellinus (cf van der Laan & CDNA 2008).
