By comparing photographs, it was concluded that the birds at Hoek van Holland and Den Helder refer to the same individual. This was the second year (after 2006) in which two birds were found. Besides, these were the second and third record during spring migration, after one at Harlingen, Friesland, on 30 April 2005; all other records were between 23 June and 4 September. Totals include Anatolian Sand Plover C l columbinus. Annual Report 2011.
